Welcome to the DIY ANIMATION WORKSHOP wiki !

DIY Animation Workshop is a videoblog of short homemade animations AND an ongoing series of 'making' workshops - collaborative production teach-ins. This project was started by andrew lynn, but is better envisioned as a network of contributors and collaborators. You can read more about the history here.

with this wiki we are trying to do a couple of things:
1. learn about other people who are doing similar things
2. document the evolution of the project
3. create a forum for collaboration on workshops and artwork

WHAT WE DO:
we make animated artwork, like this using low-tech stop motion techniques
we facilitated CraaashCourse diy animation workshops like this one
we are planning a touring workshop and screening series for later in 2007

JOIN US:
are you telling your own stories, making your own animations, distributing them yourself, and not giving a shit about 'the industry'? good for you! Participate by sending us your finished work, or doing a workshop/skillshare on your home turf.

Do you want to experiment with making animations in collaboration with people you don't necessarily know? The technology is here to make it possible. let's do it! Collaborate by joining our SpinXpress group (hold on - still setting this up). once you get the hang of it, it's a super-easy way to share files and work on projects together.
